In 2002, I promoted a tournament to determine the top song of the 1980's as voted on by the fans of my website, The Ukrainian Sausage.  I took 64 songs and split them up in an NCAA-style bracket.

The winner was "Every Breath You Take" by The Police.

This year, I'm taking 129 songs and putting them head-to-head to determine the best song of the 1990's, as voted on by the readers of tomasher.net!

The tournament is broken up into two conferences: the Billboard Hot 100 conference and the Billboard Modern Rock conference.

OK, so "on or about February 1" came 12 days late.

Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise" defeated "Hypnotize" by The Notorious B.I.G., earning 57% of the votes.  "Gangsta's Paradise" will be the 16th seed in the Billboard Hot 100 conference, Clinton bracket.
